I just put together a daul band set up. Main radio is a tk-630h and the 2nd radio is a tk-830. The 830 has a FAC chip but I left the FAA chip to see if it works.It work OK. I guess all the chips might be the same.

This is not software. It is firmware. This product is no longer in manufacture and is not supported by Kenwood anymore.

Hi. I tried all possible combinations on 2 radios and they both work OK.
It might be something with the FAA chip or a hardware jumper setting. I will try to find out more.
