Any idea if the 150MHz stations can be brought down into the 2 meter band?

VX924 conversion to full keypad - is it possible?
Anyone know if it's possible to convert a 4-button & display VX-924-G7-5 into a 16 key version? Need full DTMF. ABCD keys already encode DTMF, but the software shows it as a "4-key" unit.
Any idea? Thanks for any help.

Icom F80DS Firmware Update? MDC?
Can anyone update the firmware on an Icom F80DS for me? It's the P25 handheld. Currently it's Version 2.4. Also, the radio was doing MDC before I reprogrammed it. Now it won't. I am using Version 2.0 of the CS-F70 software, is this why? I understand 2.2 is the latest? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Icom F121 Receiver Sensitivity Problems
Is anyone aware of any known issues with the ICOM IC-F121 series VHF radios that causes receiver sensitivity to go to crap? I have two units exhibiting this problem. One opens squelch at 15uV (not .15uV, 15uV!) and the other is even worse, needing about 60uV to open the squelch. I have adjusted the ...

TK-5210 Firmware Update?
I have a full keypad Kenwood TK-5210 P25 radio, I believe it's a "version 1", not sure what the differences are. Is there a firmware upgrade available that allows advanced P25 features (ID display, etc.) for this version radio? Anyone know what the upgrade is called? Whats the difference b...

Re: S825 Control Head Audio Amp failure?
I finally got around to investigating this issue, and found that when I put the control head cable cover back on the back of the control head, a wire had become pinched and eventually shorted to the control head chassis. Once I un-pinched the wire, everything is back to normal.

Re: S825 Control Head Audio Amp failure?
I'll give that a shot. Any other suggestions? Is the audio PA located in the RF deck or the control head? Any details on its replacement?

S825 Control Head Audio Amp failure?
Hi Group, Turned on the S825 control unit I have in the truck today and I have EXTREMELY low audio (like you have to put your ear to the speaker to hear it), even at full volume. Nothing has changed in the install, there are no shorts, etc. Do these things have an audio PA in them that goes bad? I h...

Re: Orion PTT via front control unit?
Yes, that's correct. However, at least on my lowband Orion, this interferes with the DTMF function (radio unkeys after you press that button).
If you don't use DTMF, it should work fine.

Anyone familiar with the KGP-1A Modem GPS Receiver?
I was given a new-in-box Kenwood KGP-1A (and have access to several more if anyone wants to buy one).
Can these be configured for standard NMEA GPS data output? In other words, can I use one of these as a standalone GPS receiver connected to a PC? Anyone know?
