Try this site for a generic programming interface and pinouts for common Kenwood and other brand radios: http://www.cqham.ru/uniprog2_eng.html I just tried the site, and I can't get it to come up... but I'm deployed in Iraq, and I'm a gov't network that's pretty locked down, so that might have some...

Re: Kenwood Software
eBay has been getting strict prohibiting anything that may be a copy of software or a service manual so you no longer see the CD's with Kenwood software or manuals that used to be common. I just bought a CD off of eBay that supposedly has all of the Kenwood software. It said very plainly in the des...

Cable diagrams
I've tried Googling it, but I can't seem to find any site that has the various cable pinouts for Kenwood cables. I'd be willing to put them up on a website if I could find the information to begin with... or is this supposed to be some kind of guarded secret?

No Motorola Forum
I thought I landed in radio heaven when finding this site, however, I noticed there's no forums for Motorolas... how come? The reason I asked is because I was considering bidding on a Motorola Maxtrac 300 VHF, but I know nothing about them. I don't know what it takes to program them software or hard...

Interesting... I've had miserable results with a similar scanario using a SIIG (nine pin) USB-serial adapter and my HP Pavilion running Windoze XP. I had assumed it was an issue with XP. Maybe it's my adapter...? ...I wonder, do you have to boot the PC into DOS before you can program a SIIG like yo...

Thanks! Just bought two of 'em. ...just curious, how well do they work if you have to boot your system to DOS? I believe some of the KPG progs require a boot up to DOS. I did, however, successfully program my FT-90 (Yaesu HAM) using one of the USB to Serial cables. I *THINK* I programmed some of our...

I FINALLY found the software on eBay that was combined with most of the other KPG programming sets. I can't, however, find the KPG-8 for sale, or even a pin-out diagram for it. I did find one message posted a little over four years ago from a guy that said he had the pin-out for the KPG-4, KPG-8, an...
