Orion OOB - One Step Closer to Failure...
I have come to the conclusion that the software that I am trying to modify is different from other peoples. Apparently they are using the normal (non-EDACS) RSS. I have modified til's I can't modify no more. There has to be a different hex string that what has been posted. I've tried XMO's conversio...

So on a dual radio/one head setup, can you mix and mingle frequencies from either radio within zones? Or do you have to 'switch' back and forth between radios to go from one radio to the other? I think I just confused myself. Anyway, about the radio code, are you referring to the OB3300??? what ever...

THANKS Ken, again... :D I too was looking at one of those on E-Bay. The only thing is, I only have one control head. I don't mind taking the one off of the V...

SAVE SAVE SAVE THE ENCRYPTION DATA!!! Also save the BIN, TRK and ADI files! It will save you several hundred headaches in the future if something goes wrong. Try to read the radio with DOS first. If it doesn't work, then go to Programmer in windows and copy all of the above files and save them somew...

I am having the same problem as you Metro121. My thinking is that it is hard encoded into the radio. I wish there was a way to hex edit the radio itself, or the files that are in the radio, like the BIN, ENC or TRK files. I don't think it would be the TRK or the ENC files. I haven't had the chance t...

I think I'm starting to understand a little bit now. So if I use the program to convert 153 to 174, then I can do all of the modifications in EDACS 4 and it will work? Or is EDACS 4, aka Windows Programmer, different? I don't have AIM, but you can call me, or I can call you if you don't mind. E-mail...

Does Batlabs have a copy of the program that XMO made? I am using Hex Workshop v3.11. It is quite confusing... Am I suppose to search for 136-160, 136-174, 150-174 or all of them? Are these the splits that are in the software? My radio is 136-153. What do I change them to when I find them? I made a ...

Yes, I can read and write to the radio with EDACS 3. EDACS 3 lets me enter the frequencies, but when it is checking it during programming, the radio will not let the frequency be programmed. This leads me to believe that the radio needs to be hex edited, but I have no idea how to do this. I don't ev...
