Re: In-cabinet repeat, Mastr 3

Did you ever find notes on this? I'm in need of the info as well. I believe that it had to do with configuration of the PTT priorities and such.

Re: Programming Maxon SD-125 UHF or Midland 70-201BD

So did you ever get what you needed on this? I just picked up an SD-125 myself and sure would like the ability to program it.

I don't remember being able to use a handset for programming. I remember MS-DOS based software and you had to use the RIB with it. Can't seem to remember what the cable looked like but for some reason I want to think it was a 9 pin D-sub that plugged into the radio body instead of the head. I'll try...

So has anyone managed to use a standard SS2000 with any of the GE or M/A-Com stuff? Other than the control cable connector, what would have to be changed to make it work....I wonder.

Wish you were one of my cops. My guys just toss the book. They don't know, don't want to know and don't care. Then when they do something stupid with the radio, like taking all the channels out of scan, that causes problems they blame it on me and screem "officer safety" to get the brass f...

Just to clarify for ER Manager: M/A-Com does offer P25 products (M7100 mobiles, P7100 and P5100 portables, MASTR III base/repeater). It's not that M/A-Com isn't P25 compliant, it's that your agency purchased their OpenSky system which is not P25. It's all about the choice. I'm curious, do your ambul...

There are sooooo many options for these radios that it would be difficult for a ballpark price. I think my scan models with conventional analog, NiMH and rapid charger ran around $2,200 or so each. But then front panel programming, P25 CAI and all that added more to the price. Best to check with you...

I'm a little rusty on this one, it's been some years since the GE days. But....since nobody else has replied.... The MCS is similar to the TMX. All of the boards in the MCS are the same as the MVS. The difference was that the MVS had an RF amp board that took it up to like 40 Watts. The MCS, not hav...
