Thanks for the reply. That's what I was thinking, too. The programming software allows you to program two home channels but it doesn't tell you how to access them during operation.

I like the RELM radios but their help files on the programming software sucks. Many of their programming options and terms are undefined and the grammar is very bad.

What is a home channel? Is it like a priority channel?

Thanks for the information. The three troublesome frequencies are at the higher end of the advertised range, so I might have a VCO problem.

I have a TK-730 that flashes on three of 30 programmed channels. The channels that flash are well within the advertised frequency range. I even read the frequencies back to verify them. Any ideas?

Several people on our (volunteer) fire department have these for our personal radios and they are wonderful radios. We have the 16 channel versions in our trucks. I agree with Kmoose, if the radios are gonna be beat on and abused you might want to look for a sturdier radio. Otherwise, they're wonder...
