Re: TK730(G) / TK830(G) / KRK-4DB Issues

Well, some idiot forgot to save a data file before upgrading the radio. I was hoping by putting the old chips back in that I could do that but no dice. Anybody have one to share? :)

TK730(G) / TK830(G) / KRK-4DB Issues

I have a TK730(G) / TK830(G) / KRK-4DB setup that I just upgraded to 160 channels. It was initially setup with a 160ch head and 32ch radios. I upgraded the radio chips (thought they were pulled from another radio - Would this be a problem?) and removed R156s, now it's only reading it as a single ban...

TK-7150 Pinouts?

Hi all,

I did some searching and haven't been able to find pinouts for the TK-7150. Can anybody give me a hand? I'm specifically trying to track down ignition sense and speaker loop...

Thanks,

Brian

R33 and R156 - Normally I would use a soldering iron, but since I was without one that day, I used a knife blade (carefully!!!!) to get them off. I later went back with a soldering iron to be sure I got everything off. There doesn't appear to be any damage to the board... But this is when things sta...

No kidding! I've heard that the keypads show up on Ebay once in a while... Oh well, maybe someone is sitting on a stash and will decide to let them out into the market. If so, I hope they let us know first! :)

The dot marks pin 1, correct? One of the pins did get bent when I pulled the chip to check for correct seating, but I straightened it out (and yes, I do understand the concept of static discharge  ) and stuck it back in.

Somewhat related...

I picked up a TK-730, 32 ch... When I got it, I could read it and write it just fine. I got the 24C16 chips, cut R156 and R33, and had some issues (all the characters on the display lit up on regular turn-on, but it still went into program mode). Whenever i went to read it, it would just say "E...
