Can you take a high enough resolution photo to be able to read the parts? I might be able to help ID them.

You are right, it program's through the mic connector. Many of the lines on the mic connector are on the 25 pin D on the back of the radio. I'm hoping to be able to program it through that.

Let me know if you find a schematic.

Looking for TK-630H/KCH-4 manuals (or TK-x30x)

I'm looking for something I borrow or buy (cheap) for the 630H or a related radio (like the 730/830, distantly the 930) and control head.

Another thing to look at is the monitor. Unplug it from power, and the video connection at the computer. It sounds to me like you have a power ground loop. One other diagnostic step woud be to run the radio on a battery. From what's been said, I'm betting that the problem is related to a ground loop...
