Re: VXR-7000 to UHF Ham Band

If you are planning on getting it from http://www.rfwiz.com/VXR-7000_Front_InfoDat.htm
give them a call and ask. He will be able to tell you. He is a HAM operator and has been in the Vertex business for years.

Re: FTL-1011

Well sorry to say No and No.

Looking at the specs for the FTL they are
29.7-38 MHz (A) 38-50 MHz (B)

All the radio makers have around the same band split.

How are you having the mic run? Are you coing through the mic port on the front or are you using the accessory port in the back?

Also is your aircraft radio connected to the same headset and can be changed by a switch?

You might want to see about going back a version. Either that or call Kenwood and see what they say, you may have "BRICKED" it.

I say check the firmware if you have a non-DTMF firmware and install the DTMF keys. It could also be the electronics are cut out fro nondtmf radios.
