Re: Programming Maxon SD-125 UHF or Midland 70-201BD

Not yet.
My project has went on the "to do" list for now and I haven't really been looking for awhile.

Programming Maxon SD-125 UHF or Midland 70-201BD

Hi, Does anyone have a programmer for the following radio's? Midland 70-201BD or Maxon SD-125 UHF. The Midland radio is apparently just a relabeled Maxon SD-125 UHF. I am looking for the schematic for the programmer or the complete FCC ID number from the programmer. The schematic would be best but I...

If I remember right:-)
You hold down the "OPT" key for about 1-2 seconds until it displays Programing.
Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hope this helps,

OK,
I have the remote heads but the speakers still come off at the accessory connector on the radio. I will investigate coming off the head.

Thanks,

When you say a speaker from the head, are you saying the external speaker connector on the radio is not used? If so where is the speaker connected on the head?

Thanks,

Thanks for the info. I was unaware of that. Are there any other problems
or anomalies I might run into?
These are the 1st Kenwood business band radio's I have played with.
Pretty familiar with the big "M" radio's but not Kenwood.

Cool. That's what I needed to know. I know the FAA chips are in the radio, not the head, but just mentioned it.

I must have the Alpha heads since the LCD is almost from one side to the other.
160 channels here I come!! :D

Thanks,

Kenwood TK-830G & TK-730H control head question

How can I determine the model of control heads I have? There are no markings on them what-so-ever. (other than the "Kenwood" on the front) They have the FAA firmware but the small EEproms. I want to change them out to the 24C16 EEproms and see if I can get them to 160 channels. I understan...

Thanks for the help. The biggest problem I have right now is no power cords. I can get by with 32 channel. I don't really need 160 channels anyway.
Does anyone have some used power cords cheap:-) (what else) lol

Thanks,

I have a Kenwood TK-730H (6 pin power plug) and a TK-830G (2 pin power plug) Anyway, I need complete power cable sets or at least the plugs and pins for them. I recently found out the power cable for an ICOM IC-706MKIIG radio is the same. I can get that one from Ebay for 12.88 plus 4.90 shipping. Th...

Cushman CE-50 service monitor help needed!!!

Hi, I have a slightly sick Cushman CE50-TG-1 service monitor and was wondering if anyone has taken any voltage readings from a working unit they would be willing to share. I need to check the voltages at test points 3 & 4 on the 29000 board with the frequency set between 9.9999mhz and 100khz. Th...
