Re: Most current version of RPM?

The latest version of RPM that I am aware of is R8A. This adds the functionality to program the XG-100P and other Unity multiband radios. Unfortunately, Harris won't even give upgrades to people who have legitimately bought RPM before. I work for a state agency now (I previously worked for a private...

Re: Most current version of RPM?

What version will work for a 7200P? Do you need 4? If it's like any other Macom/Harris radio, it depends on the firmware. V3 worked up to v15 on the M7100, but you need v4 for flash codes above that. Likewise with the 7200P. If you've got older firmware than v15, for whatever reason, you can progra...

Re: Most current version of RPM?

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but does RPM has to be purchased from Harris or can it be purchased through dealers? Yes, you can buy it through Harris dealers. I believe it's about $400 for conventional RPM v5 (and you get ProGrammer 20 for the older stuff with that) Don't even ask about the EDA...

Re: Most current version of RPM?

The latest version that I know of is R4B so you're one version behind. R03A08 is good up to flash group 15 (M7100/P7100), but anything newer than that and you'll need R4B.

I don't think Harris has come out with R5 yet.

Re: Orion Dual Band & Group Scan Info

Orions will not do group scan. In a dual-radio system, each radio will scan independently though, so you could scan on both radios at the same time.

Re: How to UNLOCK M-RK???

Did you try holding the top key (usually Monitor) down for 5 or 6 seconds? I don't have any MRK's in front of me, but I recall having to press one of the side keys in for several seconds. It's kind of a trap, because if you go under MENU and scroll to KEY LOCK, the first thing it'll do is lock the r...

The "combination number" should be listed on the bottom plate.

Re: newB question on Orion radios

There is a dual radio cable available, and as far as I know, there is no limitation on what bands can be run together. There is probably an aftermarket source of programming cables. The Orion radio can be programmed using the MACOM ribless 37 pin programming cable for the M7100, which does not requi...

Re: P7100 Question

I don't have the latest version of P7100 Flash and DSP versions for Programmer 16 (I'd have to look at work). At one point they changed the flash (v13 flash, I think) so that the radio can only be programmed with programmer 19 or 20 (and subsequent versions) and a new program called "Radio Pers...

Re: External anetenna for tk-x90

There are several companies that make a female SMA to female BNC adapter that will fit the TK-290/390 and many other radios that use a male SMA antenna jack. Re: Narrow band & Tk-X30 seris mobiles

You are right. It's the "G" that denotes whether or not a 30 series radio is narrow-band capable. As far as I know, you can mix and match narrow and wide-band radios in a dual radio setup, although you'll have to configure both radios using the narrow-band capable template, which is done t...

Re: tk-760-h panel lites gone

If I remember correctly, each side of the display is illuminated by 3 series-connected surface-mount LED's, and are controlled by a constant-current power supply through Q405. I've seen a few cases where at least one LED in each series string went open, leaving the whole display dark. Usually replac...

Hmm, does it do this on all frequencies? Sounds like the synthesizer is out of lock. Did you put in out of band frequencies?

Also, when you program a dual radio setup, the lower frequency radio has to be radio 1.
