VX-7200 mobile with cross band rx ???

Looking at maybe picking up a VX-7200 in VHF, with the SRX-1 UHF RX module. My question is: is the UHF RX limited to analog only, or will it receive digital as well?

anyone have experience with these units? how well does the vertex work with a motorola astro CAI conventional system?

Thanks guys. I finally figured it out. you can put a ton of conventional frequencies in these radios....300 something. BUT- it will only scan 32 conventional channels. Just like you guys said, only the first channel in each system is scanned. But that is fine, as I am only using 17 channels I want t...

I wasn't going to reply, but I guess I will: That is exactly what I was asking for, which I have since found : A Kenwood AUTHORIZED dealer, that sells software on their website. People have to remember I'm not asking about Motorola RSS. Kenwood, as do many others, sell software as a PART, and nothin...

problem programming TK-280

While trying to write to my Tk-280 an error pops up saying "Fleetsync not enabled" and the write process ends. I have read the radio and know that my computer and cable setup is good. I am not that familiar with kenwoods, this is first 280 I have owned/programmed. What am I missing? also i...

Thanks,
Pricing is looking to be fairly similar between the two, the Kenwood appears to be 75-100 more, depending on options, based on the ONE kenwood dealer who has actually provided me with a price

I may go with the Vertex, only because of the available dual band RX module available.

HT-1250 replacement options ?

Looking for a non /\/\ replacement for my VHF Ht-1250. I've narrowed my choices down to:

Kenwood TK-280K
&
Vertex VX-920 w/ limited keypad.

any feedback on either of these?
