Re: TK-190 on 6meters

You need to use the DOS version of KPG-59D programming software an use the self contained hex editor. I programmed mine this way and it works like a champ on 6 meters.

Re: Kenwood KCT-48VU External Vibration Unit Programming

Yes, I saw that in the setting and did enable it, but still nothing. I've gotten it to work since that posting. It was a hardware issue. Kenwood issued a hardware revision on the TK-2180 and only radios with serial numbers that begin with 8 and higher are able to use this accessory.

900MHz M-RK

I recently purchased a PK39GTIS M-RK to use on the local 33cm repeater. I was wondering if anyone knows of, or has a SC or SC4 file that will allow it to be programmed in the ham band.

Re: How to UNLOCK M-RK???

If you press the menu key followed by the second (lower) sidebutton, it will turn the keypad lock off, but it sounds like you'll need them programmed anyway.

Re: M/A-COM P7100 UHF-L Out Of Band Programming

I've heard rumors of the existence of a .SC4 file that will allow the P7100 to shift into the 70cm bands, but have yet to find it.

Kenwood KCT-48VU External Vibration Unit Programming

I just purchased one of these and cannot find any reference to it in KPG-89D. I have a Tk-2180 loaded with firmware version 1.18.00. I should be able to use the KCT-48VU for vibra-alert upon receiving a properly decoded QCII for my fire company. The largely useless instructions that came with the un...

Re: M7100IP EDACS / P25 Trunked Mobile (all options list)

Thanks, but I should have clarified my request and referenced the all option list. :)

What I really wanted was the all options list with pricing. Is it the same as the pricing for the M7100? Do all the same options apply to the P7100?

Thanks!

N0NDP,

Could you please post the same information pertaining to the P7100?

Re: Tracking Data Problem

I can read and write the personality to and from the radio just fine. I just can't do anything with the tracking data. The KPC does not use a flash code, so that's not the issue.

AFS Fleetmap

How does one determine an EDACS systems' AFS Fleetmap without prior system knowledge, or reading it out of a radio? Can a trunked radio decoder like Unitrunker or Etrunker be use to determine it? I noticed someone was able to determine what the AFS Fleetmap was for the San Antonio/Bexar County EDACS...

P7100 Portable Radio Model Numbers

Referencing the following table, can someone please point out the differences between the 64B-E, 256B-E and non descriptor part of the description? These difference are denoted in the model number with an E, A or X suffix, respectively. How do you tell which configuration your radio has if the radio...

M/A-Com OpenSky P800 & P801

As we already know, these are Kenwood radios with a M/A-Com / OpenSky label slapped on. I have a few TK-190's and they're great radios, so I would assume the P80x radio is similar in many ways, albeit, inside they are very different. I was trying to find out some more information on these radios and...

Re: Help with Ericsson KRD 103 133/19 programming and manuals

It sounds like you're describing an LPE, but that is not an LPE model number. I ran the FCC ID but was not able to find any useful information. Can you post a photo?
