I am looking for a source of the power connectors for the newer style radios (53SL)
An alternative is used power cables for that type radio.
Just looking to avoid lopping off the OEM connectors.

I saw a price on a State webpage of $300 for a rebanding flash. Is the 53SL updateable and is it $300 once or per radio?

I figured out the pinout from the round mic connector to the RIB box for a Viking using a 9800 RIB if you think it is the same. My 53SL cable is the ribless USB cable.

I believe Chester County PA is digital Multinet. Waterbury CT is in the process of rebanding and they are using the radios I had mentioned in another post, the 5571 & 5572. The ChesCo system had been described to me as Multinet III but I have never seen any reference to that from EFJ.

Any idea if a 53SL (242-5477-201DBBB4) can be flashed for the latest Multinet version (digital)?

I can't find any reference to EFJ models 5571 & 5572. Are they rebanding only radios. They are being installed in a 800 Multinet system for rebanding.

I am looking for into regarding programming up a 53xx radio. I have the PCConfigure and I have a 023-9800 RIB (write-on). Would I need a 023-5300 or newer RIB or would the older RIB work?

according to the PDF file that came with the PCConfigure software, you need the 023-5300-000 RPI. It says that none of the others will work (such as the 9800 or 9750.)
The kit with everything is 250-5000-004. The cable is 250-5300-005.

(The manual is 2 megs)

Looking for some info on the expected impact on rebanding EFJ Multinet systems.
Will 97xx radios work with/ without a flash upgrade? How about older equipment? 86xx?
