Re: TK-860 Backlight Repair
Thank you for the info. I take it, other than the LED's, the other parts are on the display board?
It seemed that it lost one or <4 LED's at first. Now all are out.
Do you happen to know the proper voltage levels expected at the B,C,E or Q801 (assuming it is a BJT) during normal operation?

TK-860 Backlight Repair
I have a TK-860 on which the orange backlight has failed. I don't have access to a service manual. Before I open it up, can someone tell me:
1) is this repairable w/o replacing the whole display/
2) Is it an LED or a lamp?
Has anyone done this before? Is if fairly easy to repair?
Thank You

TK-760G Multi-Group Scan: A Question
I have a 760G programmed for multi-group scan. Is there a combination of front panel keys that will allow me to add/delete a full group from the scan list? Or do I have to D/A each channel in the group individually?
Also, does anyone have a user/operations manual for this radio?
Thank You

TK-8180 Band Splits
I believe the 8180 band splits are K1 450-520 MHz and K2 400 to 470 MHz. Is that correct?
Also, how far above 470 MHz will a 400-470 Mhz radio go with good performance?
Thank You

Can an ICOM F11 do DPL?
I have to program an ICOM F11. I do not see DPL as a selection in the programming SW. I have Ver. 1.2
Do I need a newer version? If so, which one? The ICOM site says teh F11S does DPL. IS tha a different radio?
Thanks
John

TK-260 Programming Issue and Cloning
I have 260 (not a G model) that has a strange programming issue. The radio reads fine and appears to take the program (for all 4 channels) sent to it. But, when the radio is tested it appears to enter the frequencies for the last two channels in all 4 channels. I have trid 3 different versions of SW...

Re: What does a 5300 go for on used market?
Thank you for the reply. How does one tell the FW version of the radio? Does it have to be read first with SW? Or is this data obvious from a label on the radio?

What does a 5300 go for on used market?
Please excuse the question if inappropriate for this forum. I am curious what a UHF 380-470 MHz P25 version of a 5300 mobile sells for on the used market? Currently, I am using an Astro Saber III for P25. The /\/\ mobiles are of no interest to me. Can't find any use KW radios, and the EFJ gear looks...

Re: How do I add a KRK-2 To a TK-730?
N5TBU,
Thanks for the reply. When you say "on the control unit", do you mean the KCH-4 head? Is W106 on the head itself? OR on the KRK-2 interface to the head?
Thanks Again
