Usually come with no cables due to the many footage options on them,Kenwood choses to make you order the cable length you need. mod
That does seem logical ! I guess I'll find out when the kit arrives. And order cables after. Since the warehouse is in southern CA, it doesn't take long ...

Wow, you got a good deal. The last one that he sold went for over $40. More than what I can buy them direct from Kenwood. FYI, I ordered the dual band remote kit today, the distributor told me that the cables come with the kit. I hope they are right. I just have to wait and see.

TK-690-890 Dual Radio Question

I need some help from you Kenwood experts. I have just purchased a TK-690H front mount and a TK-890H rear mount (drawer only) what do I need to convert this into a single control head/dual radio configuration? Just the KRK-7DB (dual band control head remote mount kit), or do I need to purchase cable...

DRC-200

Has anyone had experience moving a DRC-200 (450-470) to the 440 Ham Band? It looks like the VCO won't lock at 441 MHz.

Which OS are you running ?? It could be the same problem as the older Motorola software has and can't work with a dos shell in windows. Just a though.

I've programmed MPA's and Ranger S-825 heads with a 133 MHz machine in DOS.

Programmers

For the MPA and Ranger I know that the programmer that Price Industires makes works great. Those are the only 2 I have tried it on. They are great to deal with if you have problems. I goofed and burned up my programming interface. They repaired it at no cost. I was amazed. http://www.priceindustries...

Ericsson DRC-200 UHF Pro/Con?

Anyone have comments on the Ericsson DRC-200 Repeater? What radio is is based on? Ranger? I'm curious as to how they hold up, ease of programming etc.

Thanks!!

The problem has been solved. It was as easy as hanging up the microphone to get it out of the "Monitor" mode and into the "Programming" mode. Thanks Ken !!

MJT, look at the head read out and make sure you have programming in the window, and not Monitor. :D
