Hi, Got the VX-177 a couple of weeks ago and am very happy with it. Feels and sounds like a commercial radio, a little heft to it for its size and I like that. Not a plastic radio. The recieve audio is loud and seems to like my 63 year old ears, I keep having to turn it down. Its the first Ham radio...

FTL audio coupling
Thank you Mike for all of your effort, I think I,ve got the pin locations now. I have been using a non-polorized cap to couple the earphone audio on the 5 pin Maxtracs would you think doing that might work for coupling the discriminator audio on the FTL's? Davie n three chu

Hi all, just trying to find the discriminator audio output point on the Vertex FTL1011 and 7011 radios as I am interfaceing these two radios together as a bidirectional simplex repeater.
