You need v 2.0 or better firmware for MDC.
You need a USB (OPC-478U) cable to flash the firmware. If you have one I can send you the 2.0 firmware file. Shoot me a PM.

Re: ICF43GT Dealer mode enabling
It has to be done through the programming software. Dealer mode won't let you FPP an F43 though.

Re: HYT Radios
Hmm...I still can't get zone aliasing to work and have multiple zones set up. Still grayed out.

Re: Differences between IC-Fx061 and IC-Fx161 Series
About $260 for the limited keypad 4061. Add another $15 or so for the full keypad. Around $390 for the 4161 with limited keypad. About $60 more for the full keypad version. Above prices are for analog only radios. Think around $120-$180 more for digital capabilities. Above prices are guidelines of w...

Re: Differences between IC-Fx061 and IC-Fx161 Series
Besides price? Yes. The 3161/4161 is supposed to have an improved processor, improved mic or speaker circuit something or other (sorry, can't remember off hand) and some additional signaling features not found in the 3061/4061. Re: HYT Radios
Got an answer back from Relm - the 7500 will not do FPP as they advertise, and zone aliasing is no go as well. Both of these features are supposed to eventually be available when new firmware is released, but no telling how long that will take.
You'd think they'd just do it right from the get-go.

Re: HYT Radios
I just piked up some Relm/BK RP7500's - same think as the HYT 780. Barely starting to play around with them and fiddle with the programming software. They seem like nice radios for the price - decent replacement for the Moto 1250 for some users. So far, I can't figure out how to do zone aliasing. Th...

Re: TK 2200???
KPG-88D is the software, KPG-22 is the cable. If it is the LMR version of the TK-2200, then yes, you can program it. If it is the ProTalk version, no, you can not program it with software as it is limited to the 27 pre-programmed frequencies only. Well, at least in theory - I've heard there's a hack...
