I was initially having problems with zone aliasing also...

The text box for "Zone Alias" does not activate until you add multiple zones to the zone list.

Once this is done, you should be able to give each an alias.

HYT Radios

Has anyone had any experience with radios made by HYT?

They are relatively new in the US, and have a new radio out called the TC-780 that has 256 channels and is MDC-1200 capable.

VX-P929 is the Vertex Part #

929 denotes full keypad w/ display

VX-P929-D0-5 = VHF P929
VX-P929-G7-5 = UHF P929

I have no experience with either of the 2 radios you listed, but if you want extra loud audio you should check out the Vertex VX-820.

It's very comparable in terms of size, but has a rated audio output of 700 mW as opposed to the iCOM and MOT at 500 mW.
