I have to add to this one, great upgrade from the TK760h model, as always, Kenwood likes to expand there range on there radios, unlike Moto. In my book, a very good radio.

Yep, there LEDs, and you can replace them. If you like soldering small parts. These LEDs are part plastic. They melt very easy, to easy. Like someone else said here, you most likely can change colors, just got to get the anode/cathode right of led. Got to be the same. There are actually 2 rows of 3 ...

From what I have learned and tried, with many frackin ups, if it is a DOS program, DOS looks at the serial port (comm port), directly, as in wire to wire. This goes up to windows 98. Just a thought==no expert on batteries, NiMhs are usually charged around the same way as Nicads are. I don't see a problem. Lithium-Ion is where you have to have a diff. charger.
