Re: Orion reset issue

The diode is just your reverse polarity protection. If you hook up the power leads backward (or in a positive ground vehicle) the diode shunts the two together to blow the fuse and protect the equipment. This is a very common practice, your radio has the same thing in it. As to your problem, yes it ...

Re: Conventional ProGrammer R19A (re)Activation

Have you tried Programmer version R20 or RPM? The same activation key works for both RPM and Programmer. If you buy one, you get both. If you have the install for RPM try installing it and use your key. This will activate Programmer at the same time. If you replaced the hard drive, you have no optio...

Re: How to UNLOCK M-RK???

The programming software is called Programmer. It is available from Macom or a Macom dealer, some of which may not sell to an individual. There is an older DOS version called EDACS3 which may be downloaded from some websites. As for the Keylock, the long key press will lock the keypad but you have t...

Between ComNet Ericsson and M/A-Com there was a very brief (only a few months I think) time when it was Com-Net Critical Radio.

A volume of zero means just that, no audio out.

Re: Orion Volume

one (1) is as low as it will go. If that is still to loud try another speaker such as an 8 or 16 ohm. Another trick used quite often is an L-pad. It is a volume control that taps directly into the speaker line and gives you true analog control of the speaker volume.

Re: Orion hand held control head info wanted

From Macom you can only purchase the HandHeld Controller as a kit which also includes a special "T" cable to interface the HHC to the control cable and an output for the options cable. Do not connect the HHC directly into the control cable, it will fit as one side is a DB25 male and the ot...

Re: BML-161 Charger

If it is the BML 161 51/024 then the power supply part number is F29/4R-A9-0091 but they are no longer available. They last listed for about $250. There may be an easy fix. There is a voltage output adjustment pot and it may need to be adjusted or just cleaned up. Unplug the charger and note the cur...

Re: High power - Low power M-RK RF boards

There's no need to mess with the tracking data. In programmer's conventional sets window is the option "power". Here you can set the transmit power on a per channel basis to high or low. The check box labeled "fix power" will not allow the user to alter the setting. If you go to ...

Re: M-RK Logic Swap

The band sense resistor is on the RF board, not the logic board. Swap out the boards and just go into radio maintenance and load the tracking data for the correct bandsplit. Most versions of Programmer/radio maintenance come with some default tracking data files if you don't have the one that came w...

Re: n_zero_ndp Please Help!

What type of radio?
What version programmer are you using?
What flash code is in the radio?
Does it show a flash code and DSP code in the get status of maintenance?
Do you have the ESN or ROM serial number?

Re: LPE 200 vs. LPE 50

No, you can have 128 talkgroups arranged into systems however you want, 8 systems of 16 talk groups, 4 systems of 32 talk groups, 5 systems of 20 and 1 of eight, etc. If you reuse a talk group in more than one system, it still counts as another talk group each time it is repeated.

The LPE50 is limited to 128 system groups and will do digital voice but not encrypted.

Go to the Repeater Builder's site at http://www.repeater-builder.com/ge/lbi-master-list.html and look up LBI38935 which is the install/operator's guide for the enhanced vehicle charger.
