Re: 5300 Programming Nightmare
It sounds like EFJ needs to throw some effort toward cleaning this version dependent mess up.

Re: Build a Dual Band Radio
Build, as in board level on up?
That's going to take some heavy engineering knowledge, everything from microcontrollers up through RF design plus board building techniques and mechanical design!!!

Looking for any and all Transcrypt scrambler documents
I have quite a few old boards I have pulled from old wideband radios and I would like to collect as many documents as possible since these are no longer made and are no longer supported.

VX4000V devation settings help needed!
We are narrow banding and have run into an issue with very low audio on the VX4000V units. From what I've read they require all this crap to simply adjust the deviation such as an FIF-8 firmware box and a special cable. Does anyone have one I could rent or buy reasonably? I am stuck running them in ...

I liked the performance of the one I had but I thought it was so damned ugly and bulky I couldn't stand it.

Re: M-RK IIs or Scans in the market
I have a very nice 800 EDACS full keypad M-RK with Aegis and a fairly new aftermarket battery I would part with now that KCMO has abandoned their EDACS system.

RACAL MSHR Vhf portable, anyone familiar with them?
I am looking for a source of batteries (old non working is fine) for the elusive and almost unknown RACAL MSHR Vhf portable that is basically a tiny single band MBITR. Also, I would be interested in hearing from anyone that has any experience of knowledge of these things.

Re: EF Johnson/ADI 5600 Repeater
I currently have one up and running on 147.390. They are 136-174 capable and require no tuning. They are actually quite advanced repeaters, every bit as much as the Quantar if not more. There is a remote diagnostic and monitoring program that will actually show you the power output, SWR and other pa...

Yes, I have the cable and it's a simple three wire setup. I will pin it out and make up a diagram.

VX-P829-G8-5 can it be modded out of band?
I recently picked up a nice little VX-P829-G8-5 portable with all the accessories. I have a version 3.something software that seems to read and write it fine and a usb ribless cable. Unfortunately, it's a 380-450 unit and and I would like to at least cover up to 460 or 470 if possible. Is there anyt...

Since we don't have a Datron section...
Anyone have any cable pinouts for the Datron g25rmv100? It's basically a Racal Thales 25 in an XTS type body.
I have the SW just need a pinout.
