I have only seen 100 w UHF Orions scan one group at a time. It does not do a multiple group scan like a Kenwood... Each group is limited to 64 channels max.

No, I haven't seen that done... The P7100 if its similar to the MRK's, they have flashcodes for uhf low, uhf medium, uhf high which reside in the radio and make it what it is. I believe these flashcodes set the parameters for the frequencies that can be programmed into that particular radio. The P71...
