M7100 programming, display & MPL/CG questions
I am about to get a M7100 remote mount radio that was last programmed with ProGrammer R20, and I have the almighty R17. Is R17 & R20 backwards compatible or am I going to have to create a new personality? Anything I should be wary of by doing this? Also, how does the display work in Conventional...

TK780 5-tone on a NA Radio
Hi there, I know european TK780's will do 5tone signaling, but not NA radios. They use different KPGs (49 for NA, 60 for Euro). I need 5-tone signaling (EEA) on my TK780H and was wondering if there was a way to "flash" or convert the radio to Euro mode...? This is not for whackerism, I'm t...

Orion dashmount conversion to remote mount (Scan to System)
Hi,
I'm trying to see if it is possible to convert a GE Orion dashmount Scan radio to a remote mount System head radio...?
Can it be done with ProGrammer and a simple upgrade kit or am I out of luck?
Thanks

900MHz LPE-200/Prism HP - Can it do ham band?
Hi,
I've stumbled upon a few LPE200's here (all 900 meg) and was wondering if they could be programmed on the 900MHz ham band...
Google hasn't yielded much except a thread on RR...
Thanks!

OK - Let's say I have two M-RK II's, a good friend with a keyloader and a lot of time on my hands. Can I set it up so radio 1 (my radio) sends a packet/OTAR/authorization or whatever to radio 2 before it can use encryption? i.e. my friend has radio 2, and I don't want him to use crypto unless I auth...

M-RK AEGIS: Simplex?
I have the opportunity of buying two M-RK II AEGIS VHF radios, and I was wondering if they can do encryption in simplex. Also, can encryption work on a standard (e.g. conv Mastr II, GR300, etc) repeater? Once the radios are keyloaded, is there a risk that they will lose their encryption key after a ...

TK-780 out of band
Hi, I have a low split TK780 that I use with my trunking system. I would like to listen to channels in the 166MHz band, however when I program those, it just doesn't recieve or it gets choppy. I know the specs say 136-162, but I've heard there is a special way to get around the firmware blocking. Wh...

Ericsson KPC handheld programming
Hi there,
What would I need to program a KPC-300? Is it easily programmable out-of-band? What software would I need to use and where could I get it? (That site everyone is pointing me to doesn't work anymore.) Do I need a RIB or just a cable will do?
Thanks
J
