Thanks I.S. So it would be like XTS 3000 with the bugs worked out plus a little extra. Kind of like a turbo charged XTS 3000 with a bit of XTS 5000.

flat4turbo: What you have said about the 5100 series 4 is have I have been told by some friends. Now what I.S. said was also told to me by some other friends. Maybe I should ask what XTS radio would the 5100 series 4 be compared to for performance and features the XTS3000 or XTS5000?

Well we tried a few versions of PCConfigure 1.28.00.08, 1.28.00.03, 2.6.9, 2.10.01, all would read from the radio but would not write to the radio. A friend told me to use 2.1.0 and it worked just fine. He has a few of the same version radios and had the same problems and 2.1.0 was the only one that...

Can PCTune 1.01.01.00 be used for a 5100 series 4 radio?

I just got one of these antenna's it says Motorola 800 on it and it has a red ring inside (I got it off a e-bay dealer) it is a VHF wide band I did check it out on VHF and on 800 (800 sucks) even though it looks like a UHF whip. ( I did confirm from the dealer that it was indeed VHF).
