Hi Soldier,
We will need some more info first:
Do you have the PC-Configure programming software or are you trying to program from the keypad?
Also, do you know the frequencies and tones you will be using?
Do you need to use encryption on the channels? If so do you have the keyloader?

Re: Will EFJ support ADP in the future?
AFAIK ADP is an implementation of the RC4 algorithm. Moto doesn't own RC4, so I guess if EFJ wanted to implement it they could, but they would have to call it something else...

Re: Monitoring EDACS
Hi Alex,
The system is not ESK or ProVoice, it is a single-site analog Simulcast system. How easy is it to obtain ProGrammer? I had someone on RR quote me $10,000 for the EDACS-capable software... *sigh*
thx,
Ben

Monitoring EDACS
Hi all, There is an 800 EDACS system in my area that comes in poorly on my scanners. If I were to buy this , would I be able to safely monitor? Also, I understand that I need special EDACS programming software. I also understand that this is incredibly expensive. Would I even be able to obtain it? H...

EFJ5100 Keyloading options
Hi all,
Can I use a /\/\oto T3011DX keyloader for my EFJ5100 Non-ES or do I have to use an SMA or the KVL3000? I am only interested in DES at the moment...
Thanks!

Re: 5100 Non-ES options?
Huh. So what would be the latest I could update to? Right now I have 4.8.10 (that screenshot is PCC 2.4.8). As I said before I am on the non-ES platform. I assume that when I update, I will get to give EFJ ANOTHER $300 for the new PCC in addition to the cost of the firmware lift?
Thanks!
Thanks!

5100 Non-ES options?
Hi all, I have a 5100 non-ES with model number 242-5122-410KA4. PCC tells me that this means I have STAR Roaming, full keypad support (this radio is a limited keypad), 512 TGs, P25 Conventional, and P25 Trunking. Would it still be possible for me to buy from EFJ any or all of the following options: ...

Re: Information of antenna for EFJ 5100 series!
KMB is correct, for future reference putting a /\/\oto antenna on an EFJ portable will result in an ever so tiny gap in between the radio and the base of the plastic shielding on the antenna...

Re: Firmware-PCConfig Decode
Thanks, IS. One more question:
As I posted above, I have PCC 2.4.8, 1.24.0.8, and 2.14.10. Perhaps you could tell me (or tell me where to find) a list of the possible radio firmwares (I am mostly concerned with portables) that these versions would work with?
Thanks again.

Commander II Speaker Mic with EFJ 5100
Hi all,
Does anybody know if the Motorola Commander speaker mic with volume knob and channel buttons will work with a 5100 (non-ES)? Firmware is 4.8.10 FWIW.
Thanks!
