Re: Kenwood D700A
I'm looking at the possibility of buying a kenwood D700A to replace two radios that I use in the fire service. I understand that there may be an upgrade that allows the radios to operate in the PS frequency bands, and I'm curious as to how reliable and functional they might be. I would appreciate a...

Non H version of IC2100?
Does anyone know if ICOM made a Non H version of the IC2100? I recently sold a IC2100H on e-Bay, and after a month the buyer is coming back and saying it's not an H version. I've asked him to e-mail the FCC number from the S/N tag to me. His complaint is that it's not an H version because it doesn't...

We have written a Windows program to program the Kenwood TK-931 for HAM frequencies. The software will allow you to program the 931 for any split. The software is FREEWARE and available at <http://www.qsl.net/n4irs/KnwdBurn.zip> Steve N4IRS Is there any tuning of the radio necessary, or will it go ...

H vx. non-H
The H is a high power version and the pigtail is an option.
I had a TK-860HG (high power UHF) but it didn't have
the pigtail. Not sure what options are availiable thru
that pigtail.

Has anyone picked up one of these off of e-Bay or Overstock.com??
I've seen quite a few posts in other forums concerning these. How
are they for use on the 440 ham band?
THanks,

H-19 I.F. freq?
Well, somehow I managed to dump my U-18 UHF programming into my VHF U-19...I was wondering why I couldn't hit the local 2m repeaters, so I read the H-19 tonight and found that it had UHF freqs in it...DOH!!!! So I've reprogrammed the VHF stuff into the H-19, but it doesn't hear anything, even NOAA o...

The 840 in convention mode is a nice radio but scan is rather strange. You get about 256 channels out of the radio in conventional mode. I foget the exact number. Its a mix of how many groups and how many channels in the groups. Each of the 32 groups can have upto 250 channels in convential mod. So...
