File Formats.....
Does anyone know the exact file format of the older DOS based GE programs - IE MPA Conventional, MVS etc? It would be an "interesting" project to write a windows program that could output those file formats. The the DOS program could read the files, and program the radio

What package number is your mdx? This website might help answer your question about systems (though it makes no mention of an EDACS package in UHF)... http://www.hallelectronics.com/getech/pm2.htm I looked at the Hall site - no go. I don't know the package number, as it's not here yet. A local GE g...

Confused in programming and MDX
I'm confused..... (well duh :) ) I just got my hands on a full up MDX - wide open EDACS/AGEIS UHF rig. My past experiences with the MDX has been with a 16 channel, so that was easy to setup I'm setting the rig up all conventional for ham radio use - yep, the EDACS and AGEIS are just going to sit Any...

MDX and "Testmode"
I've searched the board - not much on the MDX here... I have a conventional UHF MDX - about 60% of the time, when I power the radio up, it comes up with the display saying "TESTMODE" - any idea what is going on? When it comes up "normal" (does it's self test, and the comes up, it...

Ham Band Antennas for the MPA

Programmer for various...
At this point, a buddy and I have accumulated enough GE gear that it's REALLY time to look at a programmer. We would like to be able to program the following:
Phoenix
Delta/Rangr (s-990)
MCS
MVS
PLS
MPA
What's the best/cheapest way to go?
