The Radio Information Board

Trying to get a unity with 2010 firmware to decode the NWS 1050 tone. I've enabled T99 decode and put 1050 as then"A" tone and also tried it as the A and B tone.

Nothing happens... Anything else I am missing?

What would be the correct firmware combination for a lowband/800-EDACS dual radio Orion setup? Seems like its pulling teeth on the Orion yahoo group. I am curious if the 690 can be taken out of band, and what is needed? I would love for the high split to be able to do 33.8 - 54, but I am sure thats not going to fly.

Is there a way to dual radio a remote mount 690 with one of the new(er) P25 capable VHF Kenwoods?

Almost forgot, in the same file section, there is an explination about the SC4 files and how to make them for other bands.

If you sign up for the GE-Orion (that should be it) yahoo group, there are two SC4 files in the files section. One is for the lowband which moves it up 4mhz, and the other for the UHF 403 radios that move it up into the ham band (I think). The alternative would be to use Hex Workshop with the dos so...

I think we are picking up the 690, and eventually dual radio it with another lowband or VHF radio. The local dealers are pretty much idiots around here so getting information/prices doesn't come without a boatload of work.
