Re: Regency RSP 500
AZ, To program the RSP you will need to find a working RELM PM45A(older) or PM4500(newer) hand held programmer. These were sold by the factory to dealers only. Owner's manuals are going to be difficult to locate as well. I have a programmer but still use it for making customer repairs. I can program...

Redbird,
It seems as though I answered this one offline somewhere. Did you check the programming and VCO volts?

If it is a WHS-1 I can help you with everything except the battery pack. I still have a few radios laying around. Does need repair or are you looking for parts?

Re: vhf regency help
Fireman5, The Regency RFH252B can only be programmed two ways. The easiest is using the Regency RFP hand held programmer. It has a multicolor ribbon cable and a gray ribbon cable with a red stripe down one side. It plugs into the inside of the radio. You might get lucky and find one on Ebay. The oth...

Re: Relm-Uniden SMU250KTS scan
Redbird, I do not have a copy of the Uniden programming software so I am going on a vague memory. I believe you have to add channels to the scan list using the software. It might be in one of the options. If that does not help I can give you the email address of the Uniden product guru Dennis Duffie...

Re: Bendix King Batteries
Jim, Are the batteries and the chargers new? What is the approximate average temperature in your barn? If it is at or below 32 degrees F there is a good chance that the battery and charger contacts have contracted so they make poor or no contact. Try bringing a charger and battery in the house to se...

Re: Bendix King Batteries
For nearly 25 years I worked at the Regency/RELM and then the RELM/BK factory. I spent 18 of those years in the Customer Service department working on new and field returned radios and accessories. Also, I spent a great deal of time on the phone providing technical support to users, dealers, and sal...

Re: Regency Micro-Com L61C
Steve, Good luck on the BTL. The low pass filter is not as sharp but the radio will become very spurious if it is not tuned carefully. If you see 20 to 30 watts and only 3 to 4 amps then it is not tuned correctly. The current should be pulling between 5 and 6 amps at full power. There is a method to...

Re: Wilson Citi-Com II WS201
Glen, The Wilson WS201 will not tuned to 902MHz without several modifications. You will need a service manual and I am not sure if all the parts are still available, especially the correct RF amp final in the PA. I have not serviced any crystal units in more than 10 years so my crystal manuals have ...

Re: Regency H256B Programming
Nick, If you go to my web site at the linked listed below you will find a small list of modifications that will allow the radio to be tuned down to 144MHz. The radio will need the VCO coil retuned to operate in the new frequency range. Both the receiver and transmitter will require realignment in or...

Re: Regency Micro-Com L61C
The Regency MCL61C is only rated to operate to 50MHz. Transmit power is 60 watts with a maximum current of 15 amps at 13.6vdc. You will need crystals that meet the Regency requirements, including the burn in or aging to reduce frequency drift. The last time I checked a good quality cut of crystals w...
