Liberty Multiband Radio

Does anybody know where I can find some reviews of this radio? Thales Defense & Security, Inc. (“Thales”) has recently made the business decision to discontinue manufacturing the Liberty Multiband Radio. At this time, we are extending to all our customers an opportunity to make a Last Time Buy o...

Vertex APCO P25 Transceivers Front Panel Programmable?

I am just wondering what, if any, of the Vertex transceivers are available with a Front Panel Programmable option.

POLL === You like yours EFJ 5100 Series radio? ===

Thank you for the reply. So, if I am listening to just conventional channels I can scan 255 at once then IF it is the newer code? That is a far cry from the XTS5000 15 or 16 channel limit!

POLL === You like yours EFJ 5100 Series radio? ===

Okay guys, I know that I am resurrecting a somewaht dated post, but this seems like the most appropriate palce for this. Anyway, I sold my last genuine amateur radio last week. The Yaesu FT-8800R served me well, but it is time to move on. Anyway, it seems like every time I search Ebay for a Motorola...

FS: Bendix King UHF Portable With Charger

As posted above, I have a Bendix King UHF portable and drop in charger. This is well used and needs some work. I can send photographs to your phone, if necessary. I can ship this to a US address for $25.

EF Johnson 5317 Mobile.

I have a friend that uses an EF Johnson 5317 mobile for Civil Air Patrol. He was set up on a channel for CAP, made one transmission, keys down, and hears 3 beep tones before the unit transmission occurs and he wants to know why. He is physically handicapped and has trouble seeing smaller print. I wh...

NAC for Digital Carrier Squelch? EFJ5100ES

Let us know how that works out .

I have done that a bit different with a scanner. Our local sub-system of a digital, trunked P25 system uses a certain NAC code and it will allow crude monitoring that way.

FPP UHF Portable Transceiver

I already have a similar post for Motorolas at Bat Labs. I may be interested in buying a used Front Panel Programmable portable transceiver. It will just be for analog, conventional UHF, and only needs to cover from 440 to 470 mHz. I am aware of the looming narrow-banding (12.5 kHz) date of January ...

Bendix King Batteries

Bill, Thank you very much for the reply. How do these chargers do when in temperature extremes? I just got two more of these and they worked well when I picked them up. About a week after putting them in the barn they no longer seem to be charging the batteries. My barn is unheated and I am wonderin...

Bendix King Batteries

Thank you very much for the reply. That is consistent with what I have learned since making the original post. I have two chargers and both behave the same way. I ruled out the batteries as being a problem, so I had pretty much started focusing on the chargers. I will also see if I can find the yaho...

Bendix King Batteries

I have both a VHF and a UHF Bendix King that I keep in my horse barn for monitoring. Earlier this week I noticed that when I put them in the drop in charger that the indicator stayed green even though the battery was dead or dying. Normally it would display red until the charging cycle was complete....
