Re: VX-459 update firmwqre?
I used FIF-12 interface and CT-106 cable. I followed Vertex instructions and update was easy. Update was successful, but 2 tone decode is still a problem.

VX-459 update firmwqre?
I have some VX-459 with firmware 1.12 and I am using CE115 ver 5.01. Programming for 2 tone page decode does not work and entries are unstable. I have been told I need to update firmware. What cable is needed and what is the procedure?

Re: Vxr-7000 Is this the correct Programming Cable
The internal duplexer will not work with .6 mHz spacing. Look at the physical size of such a duplexer.
I only use factory original programming cables. No ebay junk. Vertex calls for VPL-1 RJ-45 or CT-29/CT-126 serial cable.
FIF10A or FIF-12A/CT-104A USB cable.

Read about a Comet CF-416A duplexer. I have seen these used for two radios. Also get a dual band antenna like a Larsen.
