ProGrammer and P25 trunked programming
I have been reading several threads regarding various versions of ProGrammer and P25 trunked programming. It seems to to be clear that R19 and R20 support P25. What was the final vertict on R18B? It has a P25 Trunked tab but you can't get in to it. Does anybody have a P25 codeplug created with R18 t...

Re: LPE 200 vs. LPE 50
Now when you mean 128 system groups, say you program 5 separate edacs systems in, you are then limited to 123 talk groups....is that correct?

Dead TK 480
I have a TK 480 that was working one minute and dead the next. The part if find odd, is that if you place a meter across the + and - batt. poles, there is no continunity...at all, with the power knob on or off. For comparison My TK280 shows about 3.5 ohms of resistance and my TK380 shows about 4 ohm...

If the second one has a s/n in the 209xxx or greater, it is a ver.2 radio. I dont know for sure if the DOS software has conflicts with the newer radios. (I've always used the windows version) Personally I'd get away from the DOS. I program my 790 and 890 all the time with a Dell Inspiron 1000 runnin...

What you probably have of is one of those ex-Canadian RCMP radios. I fell victim for this also. I believe these have custom firmware in them, because mine would not go above 160 mhz no matter what I tried. But it had no trouble with 2m frequencies. I also had trouble decoding certain DPL's. even tho...

TK 890 help
I recently bought a TK890 on our favorite auction site. One thing I didnt consider, it was part of a dual band set-up, the drawback is that it was radio #2. I attached a control head to try and clear the programming, but when I plugged it in, I heard the click but no power to the head. I am assuming...

Even though it may be a no-no, I've always run my KPG software in the Windows environment. I have reprogramed my own TK730HG and 830HG several times along with some of my company's TK280's and yet to expirence a problem. Granted, the dos help files are useless, but then again are any help files real...

USB to Serial Cable
For those of you like me who have a laptop w/o a serial port, looking for a reasonable priced solution, check this out. eBay #6767817525. Its a HP USB to serial cable that's only about 7" long, not 2+ feet like many others. I just bought one because my aging Gateway Solo 2200 is starting to cir...

Fleeysync decoding
According to a copy of the 90 series price list I have dated 4/03, only Version 2 series radios with s/n 209xxxxx or greater have the ability to decode Fleetsync. I have no idea about the Zetron, I'm not very familiar with Zetron stuff at all.

TK 380 Field Programming?
I have a TK380, Ver. 2 W/DTMF pad. Is it field programmable (or can be modified to be) and if it is, does anybody have the instructions to do so and be willing to share with me? - I can trade ( pdf. file) the field programmming instuctions for a TK 3140 if needed.
Thanks!
