 If you can, find your local vertex dealer. I cannot sell "out of territory". Unless, you solicit me to do so. So the Vertex head honchoes say. I am not sure of the price break, if any to get them out of stock. I can inquire if you are interested. Sorry I took so long getting back to...

 At the last dealer meeting in our area, they said no. there is not that big of a market for a dual band.

Last week, now that has changed. they are again discussing something on the VX900 series chasis.

BTW, they still have about 100 2070's left!!

 We have been using a syntoor xx speaker on one of our GE rangers for 10 years. Still works fine.

In my truck, I was using a Spectra with a GE orion speaker for two years, now it is being used with a Vertex VX6000. No problems.

 If it keeps scanning off hook, the hook switch is not wired in. Which controlhead you using on it?? I am familiar with the S-550,and the 825 series. we use the 825's on our rangers. Easy to understand and set up scanning.

 You would have to program a talk around channel for each repeater channel. Those Delta radios are tough radios. We have customers who refuse to give them up for newer. If it aint broke, don't fix it applies.

We are looking for a desktop station for local control only use. The ranger drawer unit will also fit in...

 I am not familiar with the Niles programmer, but I know the MLs II is only programmable by pc. The MLS I we used the suitcase programmer for those. The MLS II will do both pl and dcs.

We still use our suitcase programmer frequently. What a Pain!!

 Most likely the programming. I sounds as if it set to manual reset with one of the soft keys. Programming paging is tricky. I screwed up my chiefs radio twice. Now that I figured it out, he loves it. We are switching to vx 180's for paging.

Seem to be more reliable.
