I have a TK385 I am attempting to read. I have the new software from Kenwood - KPG26D (I believe) but it keeps asking me for a network file. Has anyone ran into this.

TK-480
Does any one have an archive of a TK-480 with 1 or 2 conventional channels only. I just purchased 5 of these for our FD, but got really confused in the programming software. It would be alot quicker if I had an existing archive.

Did this ever get answered. I was told it was able to be done. I programmed it via software to do it, but still can't get it to work. Is there a diode that needs removed as in other series ?
BTW, mine is a TK280 (VHF Model)

Our FD currently has Viking CM and 8587 portables for multi-net. We lost 4 in 2 incidents last week (Fire and lake call). I was now told they are long gone and the new unit is the Ascend. How are these units ? Also what software and programming cables do I need to purchase for these ? Does this radi...

Yes with the F3 only one TX code. With the F33/F50/F70 you can select up to 10 codes to send out.

Well I'd use the Otto version mike myself...but...the radio is great for firefighting, but I found the Otto mike can get trashed and still works. I use mine all the time.

You can set these up any way you want. I have one bank with about 65 channels, then a SAR only bank with just 6 channels. You can also set up multiple scan lists, ie: day scan and night scan (my base at home).
