It pops off.

Apply upward pressure to the battery and it will slide up and then you can lift the bottom away from the radio and it will come off.

Uniden IMH-4100D Programming???

Any one know which version of software programs the IMH-4100D?

I have the software for the IMH-4100 but it doesn't list a "D" version.

Thanks

The alert tone length is selectable in the menu under audible tone length (lower right hand corner). You can set it from 0 - 254 seconds.

The TKB-720 requires a KPT-50 hand held programmer, or the KPT-20 programmer. The KPT-50 can operate by itself or with the PC software.

You can find the KPT-50 on ebay for ~200.00

The initial TK-760 radios (Non G versions) were 32 channel radios with a 2 digit readout. (Uses KPG-29D software) The "G" versions are 128 channel models with alpha-numeric displays. (Uses KPG-56D software) Also Chuck I sent you an e-mail a couple of weeks ago regarding some pagers and nev...

If the radio is originally tuned on the high side of the 42-50 split you will be ok, but for optimum performance the receive side will need some tweaking.

From my experence you can cover from ~46-54 mhz with no problem.

You will need to:
edit the software to allow 6 meter operation
reset both VCO's
tweak the RX&TX stages for optimum perfomance

TKB-720

You will need the KPT-20 to change the scan / PL / DPL.

The KPT-50 will change the frequencies.

Ge radios

The FCC ID comes back that the radio is made by Uniden. The KRD 103 117 designation says that it is a 16 channel GE "NPC200" radio. I think that Uniden sold them as a SPH155. They require a Uniden AMX-501 programmer and the appropriate software. I may have the programmer somewhere, if you ...

Syntech

The Syntech I series does indeed require a 70-1000 series programmer. It WILL NOT do DPL. In fact the PL board is limited in that it will only do a fraction of the standard PL tones. If you want some of the tones that it is not set up to do you have to add several jumpers and hack the programming in...

tK-820 Programming

I'm not near Atlanta (I'm in North Carolina).

We can program the TK-820 along with most every other older commercial two way radio.
