Question: M-RK scan question
Ok, I'm still new to MRKs, coming from a Motorola background here so please bear with me. I've got a vhf MRK Scan, flash g33-.00, ICP g00-0.09, RCP g00-0.08, PRS 14.00, flash size 512K, ram size 32K, EEPR size 2K. I'm used to Motorola 16-channel max scan lists but I've no clue about the MRK radios. ...

New to Programmer, need some help
OK, I admit it.. Programmer has me a little confused, but I'm coming from a Motorola background. Anyone have a flowchart or could give me a little help on how to program channels and zones... like what to do first, etc.? A big Thanks! for any help.

Re: W08-0598 Charging NiMH
It'll charge NiMH but it won't thermal sense. If you leave the batteries on it for too long you could damage the batteries. From my experiences with other NiCD-only charges charging NiMH packs, it may only charge a NiMH to about 80%.

Possible?: Mot RIB to Ericsson RIB
Is it possible to convert a Mot RIB to replace the GE/Ericsson TQ3310 or TQ3370? Thanks.

Re: 90 series power
I don't have one but looking at the specs on Kenwood's site it does show a high and low output for each of the 90-series radios. Now, if that's a user-selectable hi/low per channel I don't know.

Re: No serial port on my laptop ... NOW what do I do?
I got this card after buddies of mine bought it and were using it for a while with zero problems. I've also had nothing but success with SIIG's PCMCIA to serial convertor card. JJ-PCM012-S2 is the model and can be found at http://www.newegg.com. Cheers.

Re: Purchase of Kenwood accessories
AFAIK, you can order from an online Kenwood dealer if he's not in the same region as your local Kenwood dealers. Your best bet is to order from a Kenny dealer a few states away.

Re: TK-8180/8150 and Ham bands
A little late but........ The 8180 and 8150 work just fine in 440. I've got both mobiles working down pretty far and they work fine. Actually, my 8150 goes up a little above 500 just fine, too.

Opinions on radios with sub-band feature?
Anyone using Vertex's radios with the sub-banding feature? If so, how do you like it/them? Thanks.
