Oh yeah, for those of you out east...what is this "territorial restriction" for sales I keep seeing on all the eastern vertex dealer sites?

Where the HELL can I get on of these 900's ???? Wisconsin is a /\/\ stronghold with -very- few other vendors. Anyone got a good vendor with good prices in their pocket?

In about 5 minutes of searching, I've found the VX900 prices from $600-900 new.............................I'll never buy another new VHF/UHF conventional /\/\ again!

I can't believe that this nice a radio is so cheap, yet so good!

The 900 seems to have quite a beefy speaker/mic....much nicer that the Jedi series mic from /\/\. I am going to be switching over the a VHF 900 as soon as I figure out if it will cover down to 144MHz, and with how much hassle.

Any input?

Thanks guys....the useability is the biggest reason. I used the radio over the summer out in CA when I spent a couple days with CHP. I really liked what it could do, especially since I have both spectra's and X9000's!

Have you seen what the RF power out at 161 MHz is?

I noted on mine that the PA got very unhappy at certain freqs above 152 MHz.

I've just started looking at/for a S825 equipped Delta's and Rangr's...anyone know of a comprehensive site with info? I'm looking for features, useability info etc. I'm becoming interested in these units and looking for info.
