A 150 or 450MHz repeater should sell as a complete unit to a ham but shipping is going to be a concern if you can't find a local buyer. If it won't sell on repeated attempts, there may be more interest in just the duplexer than the radio. The 800MHz stuff is pretty much dumpster material unless some...

GE Station Combination and Model numbers provide more info than the FCC numbers. This site is an excellent reference for GE model numbers: http://www.hallelectronics.com/getech/index.php3 Not sure what you are looking for on "crystals". On MASTRII stations, the "ICOM" channel ele...

I believe that model only allows frequency and PL programming in the self mode. You need the KPG-29D software and KPG-4 cable for the service and function settings.

If the squelch is open constantly, I would suspect there may be a hardware problem with the radio.

It requires a Ritron programming kit (software & cable). I am not sure of the kit # for that particular model. I believe cost is about $150.

If self programming is enabled - Press the up arrow key when "self" is displayed to enter the "function setting" mode. Then press the down arrow key to step through the items until "SQL" is displayed. It is item 24, after the TOT items and CTT. Use the CH up/down arrows...

I can't find any information on the RANGR, but in the DELTA the STE function is controlled by the offset value of the last digit of the RX frequency for the channel: A hex 0 added to that value = STE ON and a hex 4 = STE OFF Example: 154.870 would be 621E22 and if entered with no change to the last ...

A lot of systems run without the STE feature. It does not affect the primary purpose of tone squelch which is to eliminate interference from co-channel users. So, without STE you hear the burst of noise as the squelch closes instead of silence at the end of a transmission. To me, that "squelch ...

Point 2, the TX delay using a tone in tx... hope someone has an idea about that :gojerry: The TX post delay is the STE (Squelch Tail Elimination) feature. It sends a reverse tone burst between PTT release and unkey. I don't have programming info for the RANGR but the DELTA has the option STE ON/OFF...

I thought I deleted this the other day... -Alex Yes, you did delete "esteteformed3" but as soon as you did the post from "esteteforme4" showed up and now today he struck again "esteteforme5". It looks like he has hacked your system to re-register as soon as you delete ...

I have a portable that has a ceramic detector and the audio is distorted and sounds like the detector coil needs adjusting. Could dropping the portable cause the ceramic detector to distort the audio? It is a possibility that the drop caused the frequency of the detector ceramic resonator to shift....

A FM detector circuit may use a ceramic resonator instead of a tuned LC circuit. This is particularly common in Integrated Circuit quadrature detectors. The advantage of the ceramic resonator is that it is fixed tuned as manufactured as compared to an LC circuit where the coil has to be adjusted to ...

If it is a 4150L the radio is only capable of operating between 136-150 and is factory aligned for 136-146. That is why you are getting the error message for 154.400, even with retuning it will probably not go much above 151. It is also possible that someone already messed with the PLL tuning to try...

The TK-730, like most other older VHF radios, is not capable of operating on the new narrow band splinter frequencies. This has been discussed on here many times.

ER-03 means that the synthesizer is out of lock due to a frequency entered that is out of range of the bandsplit of the radio or is out of range of the current synthesizer tuning. If you entered valid frequencies within the bandsplit of the radio, then it needs realignment. That radio is only good f...
