Re: TK730(G) / TK830(G) / KRK-4DB Issues
Have you tried writing the radio first? You may need to write a new file, tell the radio it's supposed to be a dual band and go from there.

Re: TK-705D programming question
KPG-6D is what you need. And remember it can only work in a pure DOS environment. No running it in Windows.

Do you actually have one? Those are extremely rare.

Re: TK-730 TK-830 dual band set-up
I have the instructions for putting it all together if you manage to find the parts. The only part of a x90 series that works is the cable. It's not a perfect match but the electrical connector fits and they are wired the same.

Re: VXA-220 Airband portable
So I thought I would update this post with my findings. We bought 8 of these radios. I had 4 of the included headset adapter cables modified with a U-94A/U jack with a PTT button. They actually work pretty well. The audio when using the helmet is quite good on both ends. In the helicopter I could he...

Re: Programming and tuning the TK-730
I have one of those "Canadian" radios and it's the 136-156 bandsplit. It works just fine putting out 45 watts. It you truly have that version then perhaps someone tuned it to work on the higher frequencies. It should tune back down without any trouble. However your mileage may vary.

Re: tkTK-630H/730H svr200ud combo programming assistance
Well shoot, I'm about out of ideas. Is it completing the write portion of the programming? If that radio deck isn't powering on it will flash the display. Try entering a bunch of frequencies in a wide range and see if it works on any of them. Enter whole numbers like 150.00, 151.00 etc. Perhaps you ...

Are you putting in frequencies that are out of band for that radio?

Re: TKX30 Firware?
No not really. Some radios just won't lock at lower frequencies and some will. I guess the answer is to locate one of the hard to find low split TK-730's.

Re: TKX30 Firware?
The firmware has nothing to do with the range of the radio. You need to retune the radio and adjust the VCO.

Re: tkTK-630H/730H svr200ud combo programming assistance
Sounds like missing PROMS. They might have been pulled to deprogram the radios. Pull the covers off the radios and look for the large EPROM, it will be a 27C256 and have a label on it. Next to it should be a smaller 8 pin EEPROM. That contains the progamming information. If there is just an empty so...

Re: tk-630/730 Dual band mic audio help
2 things I can think of, the gain on the 730 is too low. Or there is a fault in the plate that connects to radio 1. I had a 630/830 setup that had alternator whine only on the 630. There was a faulty relay in the adapter plate. It switches the mic audio from one radio to the other. You could also at...

Re: tkTK-630H/730H svr200ud combo programming assistance
You shouldn't need to tell the software what the radio is. Just select read. In the setup for the software double check that it is actually set for the correct comm port. It can be on comm 1 or comm 2. What kind of level converter are you using? The common ones don't use a battery, they get power fr...

Re: IC-F121 Power on beep
That worked, thank you so much for the tip. That beep would have driven me nuts. Does that also work on the F1020 radios? I think they beep on power up as well.
Update. Yes it does work on the older F1020 radios.
