EMP PROGRAMMING PROBLEM

I have been trying to program an EMP Edac handheld but I have had some hangups with the Windows Programmer. I believe it is Programmer 4.
Every time I try to read the radio, it reads the code plug then comes up invalid feature data, and the same happens when I try to program a new code plug into it.
I verified the radio type and model and the programmer shows the radio to be capable of GMARC, EDACS, and CONVENTIONAL 800 but it does not seem to be compatable with the version I have.
Is there a newer version that may correct this problem or an older DOS version that may help.
