Registered users: Gigabot [Bot], Google [Bot], westcoaster, Yahoo [Bot]

When did Gigabot, Googlebot, and Yahoobot become registered users? Is that a feature of the forum software?

I understand the bots will allow the website to be found when performing a search on one of those search engines, I didn't realise they would/could become registered users.

No rush for an answer....

it's actually so that board data can get indexed. It allows me to go in and say this person has permission to index or see a forum, while if you weren't registered, you couldn't see the information.

It also allows for tracking of the bots, or even flat out denying them the ability to index the site. It's a new 'feature'
