VX-537 Review

Post by Libuff »

Received my VX-537 UHF 450-520MHz, 5w/2w/1w/0.25w --- just switched from my MTS2000 UHF a4.

Radio you guys should look at:

Stuff that the Vertex does that my /\/\ doesn't ---
- frequency bandsplit goes way down into the 440's i've been transmitting at 4.9 watts on 440.000Mhz...
- If you are looking for a frequency display, it will accept a numeric display for the alias, it will also allow you to utilize the "." such as 445.6250, the display has a "." between char 3&4
- Up To 20 zones (not 16 as vertex advertises) with up to 512 channels.
- can scan all 512 channels at once with group scan
- same profile if not slightly smaller than the MTS2000

overall solid radio that needs only one improvement <--- a VHF version...

 And you can also add the cimmeron MDC1200 board. The radio will encode and decode with alias's.

Just make sure you have the current firmware in the radio.

Good solid radio. Takes a beatin!!

Is the MDC board a direct plugin for this.
