VX-150 Odd-split problems

Post by semtex »

Ok I'm having problems setting up my vx-150 to handle an oddsplit repeater with seperate transmit ctcss tones and receive tones. The one channel needs to transmit on 153.965 with a ctcss tone of 146.2 and receive on 155.79 with a tone of 173.8. I have not been able to figure out how to do this with the vx-150. I can setup the odd-split just fine so it transmits on 153.965 and receives on 155.79 but it only uses one tone, it wont let me use seperate tones for transmit and receive. Anyone know a way around this?

the radio can't do it, and besides, it isnt type certified to transmit on public safety frequencies so do your agency a favor, don't jeopardize their license...the VX180 is the part 90 version and will handle odd split tones no problem.
