Firmware Upgrade on VX-537

ok, after my VX-537 Review, i went out and brought a Cimarron VMDE-200 ANI board, it should be here in a few days...

HOWEVER...

it requests Firmware 1.04 on the 537... i have 1.03... how can i get an upgrade, or will it just work with 1.03?

please help, no real vertex buffs out in my neck of the woods...

i'll reply to my own message here...

i spoke to Vertex USA Repair... they are allowing me to ship the radio to them to be upgraded...

dunno about cost tho... i also inquired about the parts to re-case the radio, but they said $35 to diagnose, $75/hr to repair... i don't get that one... BUT... im going to check the local dealer first...

have one where the shop could not make the upgrade go. I need to see if vertex will upgrade. I believe radio is still in warranty
