Vertex VX-3000 UHF tunning
Vertex VX-3000 UHF tunning
Hi all, does anyone know how to tune the Dev. etc. on the 4 channel vx-3000 UHF, picked up one at a Hamfest and the DEV. is way to high and I dont have the service manual , the rec. is scratchy like maybe the VCO is out of adjustment. do you need software to do this? any help is appreciated thank you . Davie n-3-c-h-u at atlanticbb dot net p.s. I put it on 440 mhz
Re: Vertex VX-3000 UHF tunning
You need the alignment software for the vx3000. i am not sure, but you may also need the "tuning box" vertex used on some older series of radios. Usually the 450-490 wend down to the ham band well, just did need some tweeking.

Re: Vertex VX-3000 UHF tunning
Thanks for your reply Paul, I have the software but think its the older version. I have a box but think its for the FTL series. Guess what I could really use is the instructions on setting the Deveation levels per channel (4 ch) as when I got the radio the Deveation was way too high on all channels. My version is 1.xx and dont know what the latest version is.?? Davie
