VXR-9000U Reference Freq Adjust

Post by fineshot1 »

Anyone have any experience doing this adjustment procedure on a VXR-9000U ???

I can get into the dealer alignment mode but when in the tab "TX PD Det." I cannot
get the "TX PLL Ref Frequency ADJ" to work at all - simply can't get the repeater to
key up on any of the tabbed adjustment frequencies in order to make the adjustment
via the page up & down keys like the service manual ( EC044U90C ) points out on
Page G-8.

EDIT - I suspect there is an error or omission on this G-8 page.

VERTEX intentionnaly omitted to install some componants on the RF board and this is why frequency can`t be tuned on the VXR-9000 V and U.

What frequency are you programmed for?

Its in the 47XMhz range. Why would that matter?

Hi,

I have a VXR-9000 UHF. But I don't get it running in the UHF Ham Band (430-440).
The frequencies should be RX 431.350 and TX 438.950.
The TX Unit works fine. But the problem is in the RX unit. The lowest frequency I can program is 435.400 MHz. If I set the RX QRG any lower, the receiver doesn't receive any signals.

I hope anybody can help me.

Thank you very much.

You must have the type D which covers 450 - 490 MHz. Your lucky to get it to do anything below 440 cause its not aligned for that range
and i think the rf board has limitations that low. You might be better off with the type A that covers 400 - 430 Mhz.

Hi,

thank you very much for your fast answer.
Do you know how to modify the D Version to make it possible receiving signals below 440 MHz?

Thanks
