SM-4150 Help

Post by gneiman »

I know this may sound stupid to some you radio folks, but I have a SM4150 and a SMP4000 and would like to program the radio, but I cannot figure out how to open the 4150's case to connect the cable or remove the EPROM. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Greg

The lids snap on and off. Stick a wide blade screw driver in the slots above and below the mounting bracket holes and pry.

Be VERY careful when inserting the screwdriver blade. If you insert the blade too far, you will damage components on the circuit board. Use a wide blade and insert it only far enough to catch the edge of the frame to lift the cover.

Ok, thanks folks. Got it open and was able to remove the EEPROM, I placed it in the SMP4000 and tried to read it but I received a ".zif socket err" message when I try to Load the EEPROM. Any Ideas?
