SM-2150 Blinking Lite?

Post by aardvark »

Converted a SM-2150 over to repeater service and ran into a problem. I'm using the call lite 'link' to fire the base of a NPN transistor controlling a reed relay which activates another SM-2150 in transmit mode. Receiver is programed for 3 freqs in the 151 Mhz range (working freqs) and 1 freq at 158.400 (repeater input), problem is after the rx radio has been on for a couple of minutes the green lite (call lite) starts flashing, which also fires up the tx. If an input is rcvd the flashing goes away for a couple of minutes then starts again, the rates are consistent. The manual doesn't say what this means, is it a low signal warning or what? If it was out of range it would make noise, the range is good to 174 Mhz. Thanks

O.K. found out the blinking lite means it is in scan mode, didn't know they had scan. Is there a way to turn this off on the front panel?
