Can a person use maxon software to program the ge version of the monogram??? What type of cable do you need? Does it have to have a rib or something simillir?????

if you are using the maxon software and cable or the maxon rom programmer

either way. treat it as a maxon sp2x50c(scanning 16ch)

Yes, You can use the same cable and software to do the Monogram. No rib, it is built into the connector that hooks to the computer. The model numbers will show Maxon in the screen, just use the radio with the same functions (IE: 10 ch no scan, 16 ch scan ect.) as alex stated above. If you try to read the radio with the wrong application it will let you know by saying the radio tryed to read in reverse direction.
